Hi

In 2002 I opened accounts as a student that I ended up not paying for and they took me to lawyers but as soon as I got a job in 2006 I started paying my accounts and when I did my credit report in 2007 early I had no judgement. What I want to know is can I be blacklisted if I am paying my accounts through lawyers every month?

Thank you

Hey Sinazo,

If you <a href="http://www.liberatingconcepts.co.za/creditpress/?p=40" title="The meaning of being blacklisted" rel="nofollow">click here</a> you should be able to answer the question.
To save you the trouble though... It doesn't sound like you are "blacklisted".
What I would say is, make sure you keep every proof of payment you make. Your case has been escalated and anything can happen there. You should also ask for an updated balance everytime you pay. This will assist you in knowing how far you still have to go...

I just want to know if people under debt review will also qualify for credit amnesty or do you have to blacklisted?

@joan you should try lodge a complaint with TransUnion (formerly ITC) but you may need to get a letter of consent from the credit grantor and hand to a lawyer who can take it to court on your behalf...
